Robin Maes, better known as ‘Maesive’, was born in Ghent (Maesive). At the age of 10 he started spinning the decks as a real 90’s youngster. He experimented multiple music genres, heavily influenced by
Nowadays, while still being an all-round artist, HipHop and R&B are the common thread in his energetic DJ-sets. But don’t be fooled when hearing some nasty house, trap or even drum and bass bangers. Do expect an experimental variety of both underground and commercial tracks, with an open eye for the Belgian HipHop scene. As a producer he is filling his sets with unique edits, mashups and even originals.
Maesive played his first gig at the age of 16 and made progress ever since. His palmares is filled with sets in some of the biggest venues (Versuz, Kokorico, Decadance) and events (Route Du Soleil, Sunset Festival, BoardX). Back in 2017 he left his footprints on the national radio (MNM Start To DJ) and became 6th out of hundreds of participants.
