Ballet Folklórico Huaztecalli, Inc. brings the vibrant traditions of Mexico to life through energetic footwork, colorful costumes, and captivating performances. Founded in Bakersfield in 1994 by Artistic Director Jerry Fierro, our nonprofit organization has shared the beauty of Mexican culture with Kern County and beyond for more than three decades.

With over 100 dancers across six groups, Huaztecalli connects generations through a shared passion for dance and cultural pride. Our repertoire celebrates Mexico’s diverse regions, with each performance showcasing their distinctive music, movement, and dress.

From cultural festivals and community celebrations to corporate events and special engagements, we offer performances tailored to the occasion. Whether presenting an intimate program or a full ensemble production, our mission remains the same: to preserve our heritage, inspire connection, and create a memorable experience for every audience.
