Buffalo Star is a four-piece indie rock and Americana band from Prescott, Arizona. Founded in 2018 around Chad Calhoun’s songwriting, we play original songs and deep covers from the indie rock, alt-country and Americana records we love.

The full electric band is Chad Calhoun on vocals and guitar, Chris Bennett on guitar, Cole Lysons on bass and Harlan Mark Vale on drums. We’ve played Whiskey River Tavern, Thunder Valley Rally, the Ostrich Festival, Coconino County Fair, Prescott’s Rodeo Days and many others. We return to Thunder Valley Rally on September 19, 2026, and will play the Arizona State Fair on October 29. Our 2024 album, Back Roads, features 13 songs.

We’re booking full-band shows for 2026 and 2027, with trio, duo and solo options for smaller rooms. We can provide sound for small-to-medium rooms. Live video, music and booking details: https://buffalostarmusic.com/booking
