Captain Earwax is the musical moniker of Australian multi-disciplinary artist Daniel O'toole. His music draws on a passion for natural and earthly sounds with playful and emotive melodies, intricate percussion and crunchy textures. Effortlessly infusing traditional musical instruments and percussion with structured beat patterns and loops for his collection of synths, pedals and programs.

The Captain Earwax live-set is a visually engaging take on the live and improvised performance of electronica using an array of quirky battery powered synths and pedals.

Captain Earwax recently completed a five-date tour across Japan in support of split/ flip, a joint release with Kyoto based electronic act omni sight, with shows in Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, Wakayama.

Since 2012, Captain Earwax has released 3 LPs, Delicate Empires (2017), Porcelain Giants (2014) and Red Silhouettes (2012), and 2 EPs, Floating Tokyo and Blue Temple (2015).
