China Tiger are no strangers to the Australian live music scene, consisting of
Sydney based musicians Jack Scott, Clayton Beranek, Jake Stiles and James
Swanson, who have all done their time performing in pubs, clubs and concert
halls around the country. Born of a desire to create something that feels
completely new, fresh, exciting and energetic, China Tiger boldly fuses
alternative pop, psychedelia and indie rock in a way that channels both the
anthemic energy that the 70s and 80s held, and the driving dance inspired
force of rock and pop today.
Stiles immediately pulls you in with lyrics that challenge current societal
values, encourage introspection and self analysation, and manage to find
themselves stuck in your head for days on end, driven home by soaring lead
guitars and ear-worm synth lines performed by Jack Scott. Though still young, Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk reached out and praised the bands early material.
China Tiger are ready to open the conversation on life, love, identity, society
and death. Bursting onto the scene in 2019 with lead single 'Belly Button',
China Tiger are determined to hook you in and have you singing along, long
after the band has left the stage
