Lu Faria is a Brazil-born, Sydney/Eora-based DJ and curator whose practice centres on Brazilian and Afro-diasporic rhythms, vinyl culture, and community-led dance spaces. She has shared stages with Brazilian major acts including BaianaSystem and Gilsons, and performed at events such as Dayshift, Keys to the City, Barrioteca, and Subsonic Music Festival.
Beyond performance, Lu contributes to grassroots music culture through co-producing initiatives such as Disconecta, which champions vinyl in accessible outdoor settings, and Brookvale Bassline Sessions, dedicated to reggae sound system traditions. Her mixes have been featured by Fanático Records and Tropicante, extending her curatorial reach internationally.
She is also a member of Her Spin of Things, a collective supporting women in DJ culture and record collecting.
