I made the move from Sri Lanka to Melbourne in 2025 — and yes, my decks and crates of 45s came with me.

My sound? A feel-good journey through Disco, Funk, Soul, Old School R&B, Hip Hop, with a splash of House and Reggae for good measure. I’m an open-format DJ at heart, happiest when I’m moving seamlessly across genres and keeping the energy just right.

I’ve been behind the decks since the mid-1980s (when vinyl was simply called “music”). Over the decades, my path through Sri Lanka’s music and entertainment scene has been wonderfully diverse. Alongside DJing, I’ve owned and operated bars and clubs (2001 to 2008), founded a DJ school (DJ Academy Sri Lanka), and launched The Vinyl Cafe — all while staying true to the craft.

I’m proudly old-school: I still travel with my turntables and vinyl records, abd as one of the few purely Vinyl DJs on the Sri Lankan circuit, I built a loyal following of music lovers who appreciate the warmth, authenticity, and experience of great music played the way it was meant to be heard.

Now in Melbourne, I’m excited to continue the journey — bringing my seamless, all-vinyl sets to venues, events, and private parties. If it grooves, I’ll spin it. On wax, of course!
