Hailing from Culprit, Leftroom and Lower East record labels, Alexis Raphael from the UK will be serving out tunes in the glass terrace in headline slot this week. Our wonder woman resident Gabby and Sydney legend Toby Neal at the flanks with Cassette and Illya in tow. Mantra Collective representative Aboutjack has only just recovered from their recent warehouse while Rod Lee Winters has returned to our shores from the Middle East and fresh face (and birthday boy!) Jake Rashleigh makes his Sunday début.

The days are getting longer and every Sunday cranks out some pretty stellar weather over the magic of Darling Harbor. Well getting down early for a cider in the sun!

★ Alexis Raphael ★
Alexis is part of London’s new breed of international electronic music stars. He earned his stripes across the pirate radio stations of North and East London during the late 90s and early 00s and went on to hold residencies at such legendary London clubs as The Cross and Bagley’s. He is signed on diverse recognized labels such as Culprit, Leftroom or Lower East.
Expect a diverse, meandering spectrum of house and techno and a hypnotic journey across the dance floor.

After having blazed the dance floor following Him-Self-Her a few weeks ago, the multi talented wonder woman is back on the glass terrace this week. She is definitely the lady of choice for techno and house for a number of the best club nights in Australia. It is always a pleasure to have Gabby’s trademark sound and technicality mesmerize our bodies.

★ Toby Neal ★
Having been a DJ/Producer in Sydney since the late 90’s, Toby is best known for his funked up party house productions and remixes on labels the likes of “Hussle Recordings” (Ministry of Sound Australia) and Chicago’s “Spatula City”. From straight-up party bombs to the more chilled-out moody numbers, as long as it sounds heavy on the dance floor, Toby dishes it out with the best of them.

Recently back from a tour around Spain and California, Cassette will be back with us this week. Her sounds and talent have taken her from NZ to NY and Thailand to France playing swanky New York Fashion week shows to gritty underground havens supporting the likes of DJ T. Jacques Renault and Claude Von Stroke. We’d heavily advise you to stay tuned, because Cassette is worth the hype!

Dj Illya Cooper has built a solid reputation as one of Sydney’s leading DJs and is a firm favourite with party goers and party-throwers alike! He’s been told to be one of Sydney’s finest DJ by no other than Derrick Carter and Mark Farina, two immense international talents. He has not been on our terrace for a long time, so this Sunday is good time to come check out his new tunes.

★ Aboutjack ★
One of the gentlemen behind Mantra Collective who have been pushing Sydney’s Warehouse scene with some pretty off the wall parties and most notably a rather large dig at the Imperial Hotel with &ME and Adam Port. Jack’s often dark and hypnotic rhythm has seen him serve out music across Sydney’s cityscape among every notable venue and continues to push the scene through the delicious offerings of Mantra.

★ Rod Lee Wiinters ★
Rod caught the House bug in 2000 and was soon offered residencies around his hometown of Sydney allowing him to hone his skills behind the decks. Most recently in 2013 Rod joined the Audio Tonic Agency roster as well as a much sought after residency at Sunset Sessions at 360 Degrees. Rods musical feel and ability enables him to play a range of sets and styles of house music.

Jake flicked a mix through to us via the SASH page that was cranked out through the office several weeks ago. Needless to say, a mini party broke out pretty quickly where one or two workplace regulations may have been broken. Without a doubt someone to watch in the near future, his talent and ear are certainly in the right place and heading for good things!
