Welcome to 192 Brewing’s Lake Trail Taproom Thursday night open mic!! Here is what you can expect at our weekly warm and popular event. Signups must be done in person. We are designed to accommodate singles or duos with our setup to maintain quick transitions. Please feel free to ask the host about any setup questions well prior to your performance. Performers should bring their own microphone for sanitary purposes. Patch cabling and stands are generally adequately available for use by all.
• We use up to 16 numbered sticks in a blind draw that will determine the order in which participants get to sign up to play, not the order in which they play. So the person who picks stick #1 can sign up to play 1st, 4th, or 11th etc.
• These numbered sticks are made available to participants beginning at 6:00pm.
• We will then begin filling the list promptly at 6:30pm or after all 16 have been taken.
• The host will kick off the evening immediately after with time allotment announcements and the starting performance.
• Typically, each performer/group gets 10-15 minutes including transition time (so keep set-up simple, make sure your instrument is tuned, etc.). After two songs, hosts will indicate how much time is left. If we tell you four minutes, don’t start a 6 minute song.
• The number of performers varies and we adjust set length to that variation.
Will this process assure that all get to play every week? Absolutely not.
Will it allow for an enjoyable evening for all who wish to be supportive members of the community regardless of whether they get an opportunity to play? Absolutely.
Thanks for your understanding and for helping keep our community strong.
Your 192 Open Mic Hosts,
Bob, Kristin, Mark, and Matt
