A truly rare find and enchanting Singer Songwriter

“Martha Marlow is a raw and untapped talent with songs that surpass most of what we're introduced to in today's music. Whether you know her name or are in envy of how extremely cool it is, be on the lookout for her debut EP' www.themusic.com.au
Martha is a third generation musician in a respected musical family and writes with wisdom beyond her years. Growing up with Nick Drake’s Riverman as your bedtime ‘Nursery Rhyme’ is bound to set you on a certain path and Martha has relished in this legacy while managing to update with a fresh approach to established storytelling practices.
She recently played alongside Matt Corby, Thelma Plum, Clare Bowditch, Katie Noonan, Bluejuice, Abby Dobson, Angie Hart, Jinja Safari, Meg Mac, Holy Holy and more.
‘These Days’ was recently voted in the top 30 tracks of 2013 by respected music blog Independent Clauses.
The EP also features ‘Dust’ which was a finalist in this year’s celebrated Vanda and Young Songwriting competition.
'Every now n then, in a male dominated industry and a traditionally male dominated field, one catches up with a female musician who blows ones socks off..
Martha Marlow released her first record. Wry, conversational songs with the kind of rhythmic unusual singing and strange guitar tunings that is the most idiosyncratic and original type of thing and it is just delightful. It’s fresh, funny sad and sardonic - at once new and traditional (think laurel canyon in 1969). This is a great first release and introduction to her lovely intuitive musical world. Absolutely recommended if you need something effervescent to lift a heavy spirit.' Steve Kilbey (The Church)
