Sydney’s most essential summer ritual is back on the courts, bringing a new season of day-to-night heat.
Built on community, expression, and a little bit of chaos, Summer Dance has become a fixture of Sydney’s cultural calendar — each edition a chapter in the city’s summer story.
Across the season, Liberty Hall Courts transforms into an open-air playground by day, before the energy carries inside to Liberty Hall for After Dark. Carefully curated lineups bring together international tastemakers and the most exciting local names, soundtracking long afternoons and nights that stretch far beyond the last track.
The season opens with a lineup to set the tone for the season to come, led by Sydney’s own Club Angel, one of Australia’s most electrifying and distinctive dance music artists. Ferocious and uplifting, Club Angel channels the raw, gritty essence of ’90s and ’00s club music, delivering relentless energy in the best possible way.
Joining him is Crÿbaby, the dynamic Naarm-based DJ and producer renowned for her fearless, genre-blurring sets that traverse Global Club, Ghetto Tech, Dembow and Hard Dance. With her boundary-pushing sound and infectious energy, Crÿbaby has become one of the most sought-after names in Australia’s vibrant club scene.
Completing the day lineup is Bryson Hill, whose sound has travelled from Sydney to London, earning him shows across both continents and a debut EP on respected UK label Shall Not Fade. With a big year ahead, Hill brings an exciting edge to the courts.
As day turns to night, the energy shifts inside for After Dark. Leading the charge is Ninajirachi, raising the flag for a new generation of Australian electronic artists on the international stage with her futuristic pop-club sound, bringing bold, forward-thinking energy to the floor.
Next up is 1tbsp, the dynamic house and dance music project and Grammy Award nominee. A standalone force in electronic music, blending genres with ease, 1tbsp pushes boundaries, crafting tracks that are both innovative and irresistibly danceable, bridging cultures and scenes.
Rounding out the lineup is rising selector 2touch, whose cross-genre sounds fuse the familiar with the delightfully off-kilter. From cryptic yet stickily melodic vocal samples to sparkling synths and warped basslines, 2touch creates a never-ending pool of wide-eyed discovery — a catalyst for community and the thread that stitches together memories, and the atmosphere that surrounds all of us.
