The Axiom Jazz Trio is a Blue Mountains Based group comprising of Neil Sagewood on Piano, Jon West on Bass, and Warren Baker on Drums. The group members have a deep love of rich harmonies and sophisticated songwriting and play smooth supple modern jazz and latin renderings of originals and classic standards from the American songbook. These include compositions from Elllington, Gershwin, Jobim, Bacharach and Henry Mancini. Each of the members have extensive experience playing locally and internationally in New Zealand and the UK and have played in many different musical line ups and genres of music and have recorded international and with other local artists and groups. This week the amazing voice of Rachel Hannan will be performing with the trio. 5:30-7:30pm, free event, bar & kitchen open. Hotel Blue, the Mountains’ own ‘House of Jazz’.
