Ben Lunt - West Coast Single Launch.

Starting his musical debut back in 2020, with the release of ‘Ladybug’, a chilled indie-folk track, Ben has since travelled all around his beautiful home state WA. Performing at iconic venues and being inspired to write more upbeat tunes such as ‘West Coast’ while on the journey.

Ben recalls when he first started to write his latest track:
  “I used to really like travelling overseas but with restrictions happening in 2020, it gave me a chance to really explore my own backyard in a way and I remember when driving up to Exmouth with my friends I totally fell in love with how beautiful it was up there. With one of my first lines being ‘I’m staying on the West Coast.’”

However, Ben felt ‘West Coast’ didn’t truly come alive though until he paired up with drummer and long time mate George Burke, who straight from the first practice blew him away. In which he describes Burke’s drumming as ‘totally driving the song and making it an absolute anthem’

The two have been performing as a duo ever since, where in this short time got the opportunity to headline Amplifier Bar in Perth City, where they entertained the crowd from the very first strum. Bringing Perth another taste of Indie-rock.

Being the first release since 2020, Ben can’t wait to share to the world and especially Western Australia what he’s been working on as well as setting the direction of what’s to come with his music!

Supporting the show will be the very talented, local artists: Sam McGovern, Coolibah (band) and Brooke Brugeja.
