Bluesbay is a multi-ethnic collection of seasoned musicians playing soul, rock, reggae, dance, and funk cover songs from all eras of modern music. Every song they cover is meant to groove and get people moving.



Conceived and put together in 2022 by lead singer and guitarist, Alfa Erfat, Bluesbay also play a few tunes from Alfa’s Uyghur and the Chinese cultures. Yaxin Yang (lead guitarist), Jacob Jackman (trumpet), and Trevor Strohl (sax and midi sax thing) are three amazing soloists that steal the show with technical abilitiy, extreme creativity, and soul. These three along with drummer, Nick Aganad, are all recent SJSU music program graduates, and SJSU should be proud. Daniel Monroe (Fat Pockets) on bass has been locking in deep grooves and a solid foundation for 30+ years.
