Chris O’Connor plays vintage blues as if they were written yesterday. His own wry songs sit alongside those from 1920s masters such as Tommy Johnson, Memphis Minnie, Charlie Patton and Lemon Jefferson. He showcases various blues styles, from sparkling ragtime to driving bottleneck blues. O’Connor has been warmly received at festivals, including the National Folk Festival and Great Southern Blues, and represented at the Memphis International Blues Challenge in 2014 and 2019.
