Sometimes her listeners call Cindy Akana’s music "Theramusic" because it facilitates healing, encouragement, and relief. Both her upbeat and easy-listening songs are passionate and introspective. Cindy writes songs to help people celebrate life, validate their tough experiences, and connect with something bigger than themselves. Her music styles fit into the Alternative Adult Pop/Rock and Easy-listening genres. Cindy plays for both secular and faith-based communities. For the past 25 years, she's played before audiences of all ages at conferences, retreats, colleges, community events, coffee houses, and worship centers.

Cindy's first CD "Shine on Me" (2006) contains original songs about faith, life, and love. Her 2nd CD "Evolve" (2009) debuts her first New Thought Spirituality songs and contains both lively and contemplative music as well as a few secular songs about life and love.
