DEE: AFTER DARK // Friday, 12 November 2021 // 9:00-11:00pm // Free Event; No reservations (first come, best dressed) // Venue: Aunty Ed’s; 122 Katoomba St, Katoomba.
You've hit the town for dinner, finished up, but not quite ready to go home . . . looking for a cold beer on tap, a cocktail, and a booth to sink into AFTER DARK? Aunty Ed's has got you covered with HAPPY HOUR every FRIDAY NIGHT from 9:00pm, with a side of some of the best live music the Blue Mountains has to offer. To get the party started tonight, the Blue Mountains' most soulful 4'11 vocalist & guitarist, DEE, will be dropping in - come and say g'day!
/ DEE /
Previously known as Andie Isalie, DEE has chosen to rebrand herself amidst a new stage in life. Growing up in the Blue Mountains, Dee gained a hefty YouTube following throughout her teenage years under her old pseudonym, which brought opportunities for international touring and collaboration, crowdsourced projects and caught the eye of major players in the industry including SONY. Revaluating her career intentions and aspirations as a largely self-taught and immensely passionate soul/jazz/folk musician, Dee thought it best to turn a new leaf from a brand she felt was heavily tied to the YouTube sensibility, a mix of popular covers and original work. This change has been a weight lifted. While many fans of Dee’s previous work have joined the cause in support of her current musical journeys, this is a new chapter as Dee opens the door to a sense of freedom to be able to create with no prior held expectation. Standing at 4’11 and a half, with steel lungs, infectious laughs and a totally DIY kitted out school bus as a house, Dee is synonymous with her raw lyricism and relatable energy.
/ AFTER DARK @ Aunty Ed's /
The Blue Mountains come alive 'AFTER DARK' at Aunty Ed’s in Katoomba. Like all retro basement bar & live music joints, the vibe is casual, there's plenty of booths for you and your mates to sink into, there's a crackin' good kitchen if you're looking for something to eat and the Mountains largest selection of craft beer is on tap and in the fridge. To top it all off, there’s a ‘happy hour’ after 9pm and some killer tunes courtesy of some of the best live music acts in the Blue Mountains (and further afield) between 9:00 and 11:00 pm. We don’t take reservations after 8:30pm, so just rock up (first come, best dressed), grab yourself a drink and enjoy a little nightlife in the Blue Mountains. Oh . . . and this is a FREE EVENT!
