Beginning recordings with Grover Washington Jr., while still a student at Temple, he has since worked with Grammy winners and iconic stars including Jeffrey Osborne, Teddy Pendergrass, Diane Reeves, and Alicia Keys, with whom he toured the world over a decade. With a foundation in Afro-Cuban styles, Batista is the perfect partner for JG SkyHigh, where he sometimes joins fellow members of Philly’s own Worldtown Sound System for cool grooves with an international flavor that complement the room’s vibe and ambiance.
