Kate has been singing jazz since the early 1980s in Sydney. She graduated from the NSW Conservatory of Music In 1987 with a diploma in jazz performance. Over the next 25 years, she worked with Australia’s best jazz musicians, including Paul Grabowski and Sandy Evans at the Sydney Opera House.
Kate has worked with pianist Tim Bruer since moving to the Blue Mountains from Sydney in 1999. Tim is a veteran of the live music scene and a hard-working jazz musician and teacher. Combined with double bass this trio is solid, experienced and adventurous.’ Also joining Kate and Tim is local bass master, Dave Clayton.
