Ann is a multi-faceted musician and singer who grew up in a family where music was a panacea to everything. A love of jazz and musicals came from both the record collection and her parent’s extensive vocal repertoire which accompanied daily life. Taking up the guitar and double bass saw a classical twist and both genres have informed her extensive songwriting catalogue, some of which will be included in this collaboration. Ann, Inge and Jane have played together in a number of combinations - along with Paul Laszlo, who will be dropping in on a few charts - from tango to jazz to classical concerts and have recorded two CDs together – with Alturas’ Café Limon and Ben Noir’s French Cabaret. This is Ann’s little indulgence of favourite songs from the jazz stable and original material in a similar vein, playing with her favourite musicians.
