Immerse yourself in the healing sanity of both visual art and music in this special double-bill event featuring the new band Heart Matter, led by Amy D and Dillon Vado, and an opening solo set/visual art gallery by Brooke Leialoha (aka Brooke D).
Heart Matter guides listeners into a state of deep and honest feeling, centering the unifying, healing qualities of sound. Vocalist Amy D and vibraphonist Dillon Vado co-lead the project, and share a kinship built on trust, synergy, and the honoring of authentic expression.
The sound of Heart Matter starts with soothing, lush vocals and the entrancing, mythical waves of vibraphone, weaving compositions that are both virtuosic and uplifting. With creative roots as a duo, the project often expands to a quartet, featuring Lukas Vesely (bass) and Isaac Schwartz (drums).
The joining together of their broad range of musical influences and desire to deepen community connection has resulted in a unique, living work of art.
