“Listening to Deers is like waking up and being told you’re about to live the most fun day\nof your life.” – Paste Magazine \n\nSpanish group Deers have got a couple of things to tell you. \n\nFirstly, due to legal pressure from an un-named Canadian band (who presumably have a name not entirely dissimilar to Deers), the group are being forced to go under a different moniker from now on. \nAnd that name is… \n\nHinds. \n\nOk. \n\nThe second thing is that Spanish group Hinds are delighted to announce their debut Australia tour! \n\nMaking their first visit outside of Europe, Hinds (formerly Deers) make raw garage pop generated by a fidgety sleepover club of Spanish young ladies. Founding members, Garcia Perrote and Carlotta Cosials, joined by bandmates Ade Martin and Amber Grimbergen, create saccharine sounds about young lust and teenage mischief. Their growing collection of tracks being a by-product of the gang hanging out, without seriousness; the overheard sounds of a jovial jam between friends.\nThe charm of Hinds’ music rests with the tinny make-shift textures that the lo-fi recording of their music provides. Sounds of the girls bickering about boys with ramshackle accompaniment are captured and released purely and without intervention.\nAfter initially releasing their fuzzy demos to the internet, Hinds have gained interest worldwide; keeping great company through opening for The Libertines, touring with Black Lips, and sharing stages with numerous musical idols on the European festival circuit over summer. It’s an impressive trajectory for a band whose youngest member is eighteen and who formed less than a year ago.
