THIS IS LOLA:
Over the last 3 years, Lola has played an integral part of rebuilding HQ’s reputation as a safe space for young people, by young people. A well known and respected musician in her own right as part of the band ‘Patio Living’ who played plenty of shows at HQ, and an original member of Youth Squad. Spending her spare Friday and Saturday evenings at HQ shadowing the in-house techs Toby and Paul, she became quickly familiar with the equipment. The skills she has learnt at HQ were taken into the university environment, where she is studying a Bachelor of Creative Media where she has won national grants for her assessments. Since Toby’s departure earlier this year, Lola was the natural successor for the role and has been making minor improvements on our system, keeping a great track of the equipment quality and performance, and is mentoring multiple young people the same way she was. Lola is a necessary and important part of the HQ Team.
Over 2 hours,Lola will be covering topics and giving hands on experiences such as:
~ Live Music vs Recording Music
~ Career Pathways and Study Options
~ Basic Stage Set Up and learn how to do a Soundcheck
~ Programs for recording and other fun tips
~ General Advice and Q&A
