This event showcases the emerging talents of jazz students from the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music. It will feature 16 small jazz ensembles, including an Australian Jazz ensemble, Brazilian Jazz ensemble, and Funk ensemble. The philosophy of Jazz and Popular Studies at Monash University is to offer a strong technical and musical foundation that allows students to develop a personal voice that emerges as a result of their broad musical education and awareness of their place within global social and cultural contexts.
