Jeremy James Meyer and Owen Cook have been making music and writing songs together since Barack Obama came into office. Hailing from opposite ends of the country--Owen from upstate New York, and Jeremy from western Oregon--they found a middle ground in American roots music. Namely, that of folk heroes like John Prine, The Carter Family and The Band.
Over thousands of miles, many songs have been sent; they have incubated, developing their craft: the vagabond hobo-ism, the written feast. Cook pursued a teaching career in New Orleans; Meyer spent years working seasonal labor jobs throughout the Western States. Through their respective paths, they have found inspiration, and as their penmanship developed, they began flourishing as songwriters.
Its 2019, and though times may seem a bit darker, they are back, with smiles and soul, to shine bright and illuminate. With sibling-like harmonies and driving melodies, Owen Cook and Jeremy James Meyer are sure to entertain any who have an appreciation for the verdant landscape that is American Roots music.
