Sydney artist Jess Kent today shares her newest single, “Life Happens”. Produced by Dave Hammer (Lime Cordiale, JEFFE, Mia Rodriguez), the track will be the second piece of new music to feature on the genre-pushing star’s newly announced Parking Karma EP, out September 18 via OURNESS.

A light yet introspective mood drapes over “Life Happens” as a swinging pop-R&B beat frames Kent’s sweetly spoken verses. Fluttering between feelings of surrender to life’s hiccups and a relaxed roll with the flow, Jess masterly pinpoints the feelings felt by many in recent times of uncertainty. The dreamy electronic textures of “Life Happens” add a warm and welcoming touch, inviting you into Jess’s world to sit in shared contemplation.

Jess Kent pleased fans everywhere upon sharing her first release of 2020, “No One Else” last month. Added to triple j and adored by community radio, the track is the first to appear on Kent’s upcoming EP, Parking Karma due September 18. All five tracks have been produced by Hammer, and accordingly sees Jess be seated among some of Australia’s best left-of-centre acts with her distinct songwriting finesse and mature yet feverishly playful electro-pop vision.
