Joe digs deep into the blues Pantheon, reimagining classic tracks immortalized by the likes of Robert Johnson (From Four Until Late), Blind Lemon Jefferson (Corinna Blues) and Mississippi John Hurt (Spike Driver Blues). You’ll also hear fresh interpretations of Appalachian folk (Saro Jane, Bound to Ride, Walkin’ Boss), traditional ballads (Black Jack Davy, Peggy-O, Jackaroe), and even a bit of Celtic flavor in Joe’s instrumental arrangement of the Irish hymn “Be Though My Vision” and original instrumental “Porter Jig”. Joe Rollin (pronounced “RAH-Lin”) Porter is a life-long Ohioan currently living in Cleveland. Although he’s been playing guitar since the age of nine and singing since long before that, he put music performance on the back shelf for decades. He began making up for lost time in earnest since 2010, recording his first of three self-produced CDs and gigging, putting in over 1,000 performances since then.
