'Souped up Swing', Kate Woolfe's Big Bad Swing Band features a line-up of
Sydney's finest new and emerging jazz musicians, performing original
arrangements, styled for swingin' and dancin'. Led by sultry songstress Kate
Woolfe, the Big Bad Swingers conjure a bold, ageless, fabulous jazz spirit,
with a repertoire of tasty favourites: devouring old and new classics from
the 1920's to whatever we are in now. Fired up with a variable lineup of
horns, drums, guitar, keys, bass and vocal, the four- to eight-piece
ensemble strikes a Big Band sound that will have you hopping down to the
local dance hall, tout de suite. Set your clock to the rhythm section and
get set to swing. Seriously.
