On April 24th Lawson Hull will be releasing his follow-up single to Mexico called Cowboys and will be performing at Vic on the Park in Marrickville with Casa Rosa.
To be an artist, you must ask yourself, who am I to share my ideas and stories? Who am I to think others might find meaning in them? It’s this query that Australian singer-songwriter Lawson Hull tackles on EP, Dreaming is Easy. And while most would agree that music is potent medicine, Lawson details the many growing pains that come with putting something out into the world. But there are also moments of deep love and appreciation that Lawson explores, and he does so with a lush sensitivity, rooted in folk and dream-pop melodies.
Inspired by a range of artists from Bon Iver to Bombay Bicycle Club, Lawson first gained attention when his song “Paint” gained millions of Spotify streams. Five of the EP tracks were created with Sydney-based producer Billy Otto, who provided a cohesive sonic palette that speaks to Lawson’s atmospheric guitar playing and love of the outdoors. Featuring a high dose of reverb and warm stretched out chords, there’s a spaciousness that takes on an almost oceanic quality — a larger presence that swallows the listener the way nature does with its overwhelming size and beauty. The EP opener, 'Try' was co-written and produced by
Tim McArtney in Surry Hills at Pale Blue Dot Recording Company. Lawson’s songs land in the sonic midst of fellow Australian artists such as Kita Alexander, Angus, and Julia Stone and #1 Dads.
In mid-2020 Lawson signed to the Canadian record label, Nettwerk Music Group (Garett Kato, Mallrat, Jon Byrant)

Casa Rosa are a Sydney-based duo with indie-rock inclinations and a vintage feel.
Off the back of their debut single 'Sleeper Agent', Casa Rosa have released their new single 'All This Time' that further shows the band's love of deep guitar grooves and bold melodies within their organic, vintage sound.
Born and raised in Sydney, Sam and Josh Harper's long musical and familial bond has manifested in 'Casa Rosa' - a project that aims to combine guitar-centred hooks and silky vocal melodies with an eclectic songwriting style. The brothers draw on a wide range of musical influences, with elements of blues and country exhibited in the use of pedal steel in Casa Rosa's songs. Already the duo are playing at premier venues in Sydney, and have many new events and releases on the horizon.
