Bull began playing music in the mid-2000s in Sydney’s live club scene, initially coming to wider attention in 2010 with the Phantom Pains EP; a lively, piano-driven outing lead to the listening public by the song “Dog” (featuring Lisa Mitchell).

After extensive national touring, Andy constructed a home studio in 2013, where he began working on a new collection of music. Smashing out a succession of exciting and unique-sounding singles ('Keep On Running', 'Baby, I'm Nobody Now', 'Talk Too Much'), Andy released Sea Of Approval in 2014, an adventurous album replete with wandering melodies and unexpected left-turns.

The album was written, produced, and played almost entirely by Bull in his home studio. Nominated for three ARIA Awards (Best Pop Release; Breakthrough Artist, Best Engineer), polling three times in the past two Triple J Hottest 100’s, and acclaimed as one of the surprise hits of the 2015 Laneway Festival, Andy Bull is one of the country's most promising songwriters and producers.
