/ MARK 'N THE BLUES /
Mark “N” The Blues is a high-energy trio with Mark Bishop playing songs by Robert Johnson, Doc Watson, Blind Blake, Doc Watson and others. Mark has also adapted classic songs from the Animals, Rolling Stones and Rose Tatto. Mark uses both the resonator, cigar box and acoustic guitars to pick and slide his way through blues classics. Mark is a seasoned musician who has played in country and rock bands and currently plays solo and duo around the club circuit. His passion for acoustic fingerpicking and the delta blues lead him to Brother John from The Blues Preachers who has motivated Mark to pursue the Delta/Acoustic blues Style. Mark often has some of Sydney’s best blues harp players playing with him including Eric K. Betts, Joe Berenguel, Patricia Mifsud, Doug Stuart and currently Mal Gillies. These guys are seasoned players and are sought after musicians. To finalise the trio we have David Rowlands on the washboard. David is an accomplished drummer who is famed from the likes of Phil Jones and The Unknown Blues, Wiley Reed Band, Ugly Graham and The Pretty Boys, Skinner, Doug Ford’s Blue Fords, Hollow Tree and Bonnie Kay Trio, as well as Alchemy.
