Matt has been performing for a living as a pianist in the Blue Mountains and Sydney for the past ten years. With a love of classical music and jazz, he often combines the two in compositions and improvisations. Since picking up the accordion 5 years ago, Matt has played with some of Sydney’s finest local Gypsy bands such as Monsieur Camembert, The Spyglass Gypsies, The Squeezebox Trio. Matt has attained residencies across Sydney and the Blue Mountains at the Carrington Hotel (Katoomba), Billich Art Gallery (The Rocks Sydney), The Jenolan Caves House and Lillianfels Resort in Katoomba. Currently studying a bachelor of music at Western Sydney UNI while teaching privately, Matt has been fortunate enough to collaborate with Pam Withnall as a jazz duo playing mostly originals and some classic standards.
