“AN IMPRESSIVELY BALANCED MIX OF ROCK AND ALT-COUNTRY” – The Music

What youʼre now holding in your hot little hands is Wet Suburban Sunday the brand new album from former Delivery guitarist and songwriter, Dave Favours.

A little over a year ago, some members of Daveʼs former band sat him down and told him that they wanted to start making money. Dave was more interested in making music and with the writing clearly on the wall, he was out of there at lightning speed.

Taelor Jane Hanley 7:45PM – 8:15PM

Since picking up the guitar for the first time at age 14, Taelor-Jane had been led on a wild journey to find her unique style. Her Northern Beaches abode, Steiner education and wide range of influences (from 16 Horsepower to The Tea Party and Nick Cave,) have all contributed to her unique storytelling style. Her interest in folk, Delta Blues, Gothic Americana and Garage Rock has provided Taelor-Jane with an individual style she describes as heavy folk.

Whilst completing her degree in Composition and Music Production at the Australian Institute of Music, Taelor-Jane released her debut EP 'Velvet Love' in February 2014. She released the EP with a packed show at Sydney's Lizotte's supported by bands such as Gypsy's Gift and Madeline Vida. 'Velvet Love' is now available on iTunes.

Dominc Youdan 8:30PM – 9:00PM

Leura 9:15PM – 9:45PM

First unearthed from Sydney’s eclectic underground live music scene, Lëura commands a full band on her forthcoming EP, engineered and produced by Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezabels).

Debut single ‘Drifter’ was released to critical acclaim, landing the enigmatic artist a nomination for Triple J's Hottest 100, and a single launch at Oxford Arts Factory. The track reflects an openly emotional exploration that bleeds through themes saturated with guilt and regret. Brooding vocals and brutally honest lyrics “Sins give their knees, for you, for me” transcend the track beyond melancholy and into cathartic release.

Pushing forward on a wave of success, Lëura's dynamic live performances, littered with screams and growls has drawn comparisons to artists such as Bjork, Daughter and Warpaint. The young artist now looks on to the release of 'Drifter' over on United Kingdom shores, and to the follow-up single in the coming months, followed by the full 7 track EP ''Brutal, Broken, Unspoken.

Sarah Bird 10:00PM – 10:45PM

Sarah Bird took a rather unusual approach to releasing her latest album Break Or Bend, by which was made possible by the creative industry’s crowd-funding site, "Pozible" (also used by the likes of Eskimo Joe and Ben Lee). The project was financially assisted by fans and supporters who banded together to donate above and beyond the original $3000 target which was required for the pressing & printing of CD’s, artwork & design, distribution and press release. For donating as little as $15 to the project fans received a pre-released signed copy of the album and a custom-made guitar pick; those who chose to donate over $250 to the album scored a bunch of signed & custom merch, as well as tickets to the Album launch show and a personal concert at their own house! The fans certainly pulled through, with the final donations tallying at $3646 and 42 contributors (some of which chose to remain anonymous).
