New Nausea are releasing new music for the first time in 5 years in the lead up to their second full-length record "Music for Frogs". Their first album "Fountain of Struth" garnered them a dedicated following in Perth, was one of the most played on RTRFM for that year and was nominated as the WAM Best Album of 2020 alongside releases from Tame Impala and Spacey Jane. "Music for Frogs" represents a significant development in New Nausea's sound, now incorporating more elements of post-punk and electronic music along with the alt-folk and indie sound they are known for. This new record is a labour of love and meticulous crafting, it is both sincere and playful and is certainly their most ambitious and thoroughly realised record to date. The first offering from this record will be a song entitled "Snow Globe", accompanied by an animated clip created entirely by the band's frontman Albert Pritchard.
Joining New Nausea will be Nicholas Allbrook. The frontman of the iconic WA psych-rock/pop mind-melters POND will perform a set of whatever he sees fit, and we will all be the better for it.
Following Nick we have the delight of sharing one of Perth's most exciting and truly original new bands Symmetrical Dogs. Descriptions fail when talking about this band; they are strange, fun, devastating, uplifting, heartfelt and raw, and must be seen live to be fully understood.
An exciting and affecting live act in their own right, New Nausea has supported Jessica Pratt, Jebediah, and have been booked to support POND, RVG, The Murlocs, Kirin J Callinan, Jess Locke and more. This will be a memorable night to say the least, don't miss this show!
