New War returns! A nasty blur of R & D (rhythm & detonation), open-bordered punk & fevered reports on life, money, & violence, New War are only their own. The group’s sneering, frosty thump undeniably gets the crowd moving on their new single, ‘Get in the Boot’. Relentless, catchy & at moments completely unhinged, ‘Get in the Boot’ flits between Elizabethan throne rooms, Garbo, & magical realist nursery rhyme, foregrounded by a goose-stepping rhythm section & synths like an air raid being eaten by a swarm of bees. 
New War’s debut had 9 lives & 4 different labels over 2011-14. The group toured Australia & the UK, played 3 ATP Festivals, a Rough Trade in-store & much more.
Their new album, ‘Coin’, will appear in September on It Records. ‘Coin’ is a more immediate sister to the debut, spilling out in new directions while keeping the essence of the group intact. Come see one of Australia's best live bands in their element.
