Vanessa Caspersz and James Emerson are a Jazz duo from the Blue Mountains. Their repertoire is filled with the old standards, Dixieland and gypsy jazz. Vanessa’s voice is sweet, smooth and bright. An experienced vocalist, she has been singing with various bands, choirs and solo, for over a decade. Vanessa currently plays with her trio “Snail” and duo “Piccolo Bear,” and her most recent Jazz duo has had her singing most weekends in the Blue Mountains. James Emerson has studied Jazz guitar with some of the most prolific Sydney Jazz guitarists including Jeremy Sawkins and Mark Johns. His playing possesses a rich blend of melodic and chordal improvisations and moves through swinging walking bass lines.

Come along this Saturday to Palais Royale from 5:30pm for 'cocktail hour' with the local talents of Vanessa and James.
