/ OLY SHERMAN /
Emerging as an exciting fresh face out of Sydney’s indie-folk scene, Oly Sherman has matched his on-record captivation on stages too, selling out and winning hearts with his all-enveloping brand of performance that has seen him compared to the likes of Tash Sultana, Matt Corby and Boy & Bear. Oly’s kicked off this year strong with a huge national tour and debut album.

Off the back of a busy year of producing, rising indie singer-songwriter graces his listeners with ‘Land Of All Pretend’, an 11 track immersive body of work - offering an escape to a place marked with blissful vocals, guitars and sun-kissed melodies. The album isn’t one that relies on the strength of Sherman’s voice or any one element of arrangement. It’s an album that has all its parts fit together with ease.

“Every song on the album has both connotations with each other and their own unique tier. I think when I listen to the album as a whole, I like to think that it gives notions into the way my mind works, and what I value and find important. When I also look back on it, I’ve discovered that I’ve spent quite literally every day thinking, thriving, talking and working on this project.” - Oly Sherman

“It’s stirring, world class folk and that pay off at the end is so worth it.”
— TRIPLE J, DECLAN BYRNE (‘BONES’)

“A folk sensation echoing the dreamy work of Matt Corby, Boy & Bear and Josh Pyke.”
— HAPPY MAGAZINE

“Bones’ is awash with dynamic, tinkering-on-foreboding melodies and uplifting, crescending percussion, mirroring the headspace Sherman was in when crafting the track.”
— MUSIC FEEDS (‘BONES’)
