Pete Armstrong is a Blackheath based singer/songwriter who specialises in reviving good memories, recent and past. Pete plays and sings a variety of music drawing on the influences of Country, Blue Grass, Old Rock and Roll and Jazz with a distinct swing flavour. Pete won the inaugural CCMA "Golden Oldies" award at the 2016 Tamworth Country Music Festival, where Pete also reached the finals in three categories of the CCMA National Talent Quest. Pete came runner-up in the 2016 Frank Hardy Memorial at the South Australian Country Music Awards and won the Songwriting section and the Male Vocals awards. If that wasn't enough, Pete was the overall winner at the South Coast Country Music Festival 2016 and the Parkes Country Music Festival 2016. I could on but the take-home message is that we in the Blue Mountains have some incredible local talent.
