Peter Long is an Australian singer, songwriter and sound artist based in New South Wales, Australia. His music, described as 'spacious pop-rock' and 'possessing a transcendental aura', stems from an interest in guitar-based popular music, psychedelic rock and soundscapes, which have run as a through-line throughout his music career.
Possessing 'an unerring sense of the perfect pop melody', his debut solo album, Midday Sun, and the song 'Melody's Fate' won Best Alternative Release at the Blue Mountains Music Awards in 2007. He performs with the psychedelic ensemble Paper Sun and the Brit-pop duo The Winstons and is a member of the infamous men's a cappella group The Spooky Mens Chorale. He also releases experimental soundscape work under the alias of immed8.
