Phil Para is an outstanding guitarist/ singer/ songwriter and undoubtedly one of the most exciting performers in Australia. Replicating the playing and vocal styles of guitar greats including Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, & Carlos Santana, Phil also writes many original songs which draw from a diverse range of music with blues, jazz, Latin and rock influences fusing into a style of his own.

Despite what you hear in their music, HELLHOUNDS were not brought up in the swamps of Louisiana in the 70ʼs living off nothing but peyote. The band is actually a Melbourne based retro-blues trio founded in St. Kilda. A rare and wonderful collaboration of musical misfits comprising of a rock drummer (Venom), a punk bass player (Bryan Colechin) and blues guitarist Patch (Hellhound) Brown. In meeting, the chemistry between the three was instant and the combination emphatic.
