Jersey-based (UK) singer-songwriter Phoebe Over has rightfully earned a reputation as one of the island’s brightest new musical talents in recent years. Her acoustic-led expressions of teen angst and emotional vulnerability take inspiration from the likes of Lily Allen, Jorja Smith and Billie Eilish, and the stories she shares through her music have that down-to-earth, real-life quality that makes her music instantly relatable to her growing number of fans. Phoebe’s “Listen” received Radio One airplay by respected tastemaker Huw Stephens in the summer of 2020 and she followed up that success with the release of her debut single “Rehab”. Phoebe recently played on the main stage of Electric Park 2021, sharing the stage with Manic Street Preachers, RazorLight and Nik Kershaw, followed by the release of her second single, ‘The Ick Factor’. Phoebe is currently travelling the East Coast of Australia to write and release more music on the road.
With a natural draw to raw and thought-provoking singer/songwriters such as Jack White, Jamie T, Jeff Buckley and Mac De Marco, David Keenan, A.K.A. Axon Bower’s sound is far from static. His sound flows from indie-rock to funk between melodic intricacies and feel-good grooves sat in hook-heavy tracks. Axon won the BBC Introducing 'Local hero’ Aim Award in 2022, for his amazing contribution to building Jersey’s music scene through Songwriters Society (SWS), a non-profit organisation promoting and sharing local talent. Axon has released 3/5 singles from his EP, including ‘These New Streets’, a 13th Parish Film Festival Video Nominee. Having played in the UK, Europe, America, Sri Lanka, Australia, and more, 2023 will surely see Axon succeed as he and fellow musician Phoebe Over road trip through Australia, writing new music.
