Ray Bernard 33, is a professional bassist, pianist, producer, and music director from the city of Philadelphia. Bernard began teaching himself, at the young age of 11. During his high school years, Bernard joined the band of Carol Riddick, one of Philadelphia’s most iconic singers of this generation. This kickstarted his professional music career. His experience while working with Riddick thereafter led to requested work with Grammy award winning song-writer/singer, Marsha Ambrosius. Bernard is a soulful, exciting, reliable marquee bassist based out of Philadelphia as well as the tri state area. He prides himself on letting the energy and the people drive the music. His playing has been co-signed by some of the worlds greatest musicians as profound and enriched, with deep grooves and crafty improvisation. His sound will make a lifetime listener out of anyone who hears him and his band perform.
