SambaNoma is a collective of Sonoma County musicians and music educators united by their love of the infectious rhythms, sensual melodies, and lush harmonies of Brazilian music. SambaNoma’s members bring a wide array of performance experience and study in jazz and Brazilian styles such as bossa nova, samba, baião, xote, and frevo. Their music features an eclectic and dynamic mix of compositions including works by Toninho Horta, Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti, Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as original music. SambaNoma has performed at the Healdsburg Jazz Festival’s Jazz Village, The Spirit Bar at the Hotel Healdsburg, Marin Country Mart, Occidental Center for the Arts, and at wineries and galas throughout the North Bay.
