The Blue Mountains Music Festival happens just across the road from Hotel Blue every March. We're not actually part of the festival but as we are full of music lovers here to see some of the best music of the year, we couldn't resist putting on some acts ourselves. For this week's Saturday Session, we've invited Frank Sultana back to Hotel Blue to bring us a little blues.
Tipping his hat to the great Mississippi Delta bluesmen of the 1930s as well as the reckless abandon of the 1960s, Frank Sultana is an award-winning bluesman channelling the working class ghosts of times gone by. Proficient on slide guitar, Frank’s sympathetic style and down-home sensitivities provide the listener with an authentic experience. Not afraid to hit the road, Frank has toured Australia many times as both a headline act and in support such acts as new US blues guitar hero Gary Clark Jnr and Australia’s own Queen of swamp cabaret, Mojo JuJu.
Join Frank Sultana for his Hotel Blue return this Saturday Night, 6:30-8:30 pm. Come along early if you want a seat as it's first come, first served. Bar & Kitchen open, family-friendly, free event. Live music @ Hotel Blue is brought to you by 'Music in the Mountains'.
