Sydney based singer-songwriter Jack Nolan falls well under the category of an Australian storyteller, and for years since has written and performed songs in and around the Australian music scene. Jacks writing & playing conjures up images of the Australian story honouring Americana sounds of great artists of the world. Career highlights include his role as main writer and lead singer of the Kelly Gang, formed with Divinyls/Gurus bassist Rick Grossman, and joined on stage and in the studio with members of Midnight Oil, the subsequent album “Looking for the Sun’ considered a hidden gem. Other transitional works like his solo album ‘That’s the Sea’ and the EP ‘Lost Property – Outakes & Demos’ hint at his latest journey into American country roots, with more acoustic instruments carrying the stories. So to 2018, now begins a defining era in Jacks career, with his batch of new songs having piqued the interest of Nashville native Mike Poole, he’ll head over in April to finish his record, bringing to life the raw melodies and new stories he’s performing now.
