Songstress, raconteur and observer of life, Jocelyn Moen sings with range and conviction. Her songs carry vivid impressions of exotic encounters with lovers, friends, garbage trucks and more. Some are in French and all thrum with musicality and joie de vivre. She recorded her first album La Rouge Qui Bouge in 2006 in Paris, where she lived for several years.
During a sojourn in Montreal, Moen performed in both French and English, bringing her solo cabaret show to theatres such as The Piggery Theatre in rural Quebec and Theatre Sainte Catherine in Montreal. She also wrote her third children’s musical, Lucy, for the community children’s choir she directed there. Joce Moen has a real spark and love of life – you can’t help but smile when listening to her music. Quirky originals and forgotten French classics.
