The Tinderboxers are an indie rock band based in Hobart, Tasmania. Since forming in high school, they have established a strong local following and connected with listeners across the country. They have been crowned winners of Triple J Unearthed’s Party in the Paddock competition, released and toured their debut EP ‘Something Strange’ and supported high profile artists such as Lime Cordiale, Everclear, Ruby Fields, Luca Brasi and Maddy Jane, and wracked up 170,000 Spotify streams on their debut single ‘Let Go’.
Subsequent singles 'Gap Year', 'Ramona' and 'Lucky To Be Alive' have received acclaim and airplay across Triple J and community radio networks. In 2019, the band delivered a passionate performance of 'Lucky To Be Alive' in front of 22,000 people at Hobart’s record breaking School Strike For Climate.
Festival appearances include Luca Brasi’s Til The Wheels Fall Off and Cygnet Folk Festival, while recent headline shows have pulled sellout crowds.
The Tinderboxers are a band going from strength to strength, and as recipients of The Nick Balcome Foundation’s Live Your Dream grant, 2021 looks to be their year.

Shows will be standing and limited to 70 due to social distancing measures
Upstairs kitchen will be open and running a $15.00 burger + schooner of beer or cider deal for those who have purchased a ticket to the show
All customers entering the premise must sign-in by providing accurate contact details via the venue's QR code sign in registry at the entrance of the venue which is designed specifically for contact tracing if necessary.
The venue will be taking a number of precautionary measures to ensure patron safety, including:

Signage and social distancing markers throughout the venue
Regular sanitising of the venue and full clean between sittings
