Life looks different for Tim Hart these days. The Sydney born singer-songwriter now lives a 12 hour drive north in Brisbane and has become a first-time father. Still a member of indie folk band Boy & Bear, life has become a balancing act for Tim, consisting of splitting time between family, solo music and band life.

To celebrate the release of his new album, Tim Hart will return to The Vanguard stage for an intimate stripped back performance with support from Moon Saloon.

His third studio album Winning Hand, displays the maturity of his songwriting with stories of longing, love and, at times, heartbreak. Drawing from both personal experience and the tales of those he has met on the road, Tim takes listeners on a journey that feels part travel book, part private diary.

Recorded at Sydney’s Golden Retriever Studios with engineer Simon Berkelman, this was the first time that the multi-instrumentalist recorded his solo music with a full band, inviting an array of skilled session musicians into his world. The result is a living, grooving album that has all the hallmarks of an album recorded in the old way.
