Keyboardist and vocalist V. Shayne sees music as a means of not only expressing himself but of connecting with people across demographics. A veteran of the city’s jam sessions and jazz clubs, Shayne is equally versed in the sonic textures of Shirley Horn and Wayne Shorter as the classical works of Chopin. Overall, his style fuses spiritual and world music, with strong elements of African folk.
