Sam Reeves
Join Sam Reeves for his contemporary graduation recital. Sam has been playing guitar from a young age and was raised playing the music of artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Stevie Wonder. In recent years Sam has been influenced by artists like Scott Henderson, Cory Wong and Marcus King. Sam’s recital marks a close to his degree and will be a celebration of the music that has influenced his style and showcases Sam’s creativity as a guitarist and as an artist. This recital will feature Sam’s heavy blues and rock style and include an array of genres from intimate ballads all the way to funk and blues-fusion. Come along to witness all the hard work that Sam has put into his recital and stick around to watch the other talented recitalists, Jasper Willans and Shannon White.

Jasper Willans
Jasper’s final graduation recital marks the end of his 4 years of study at WAAPA. Join Jasper and his band at the Rosemount Hotel to hear a set of lively arrangements and original compositions that reflect his passion for contemporary guitar. You can expect to hear music from some of Jasper’s biggest influences such as John Mayer, John Scofield, Pat Metheny and Frank Gambale. These influences have allowed Jasper to blend elements of jazz, funk, and rock with his strong foundation of blues language and establish his own unique sound and style as a contemporary guitarist. This will be Jasper’s first self-lead performance and the beginning to a successful career in music (hopefully).

Shannon White
Come down to the Rosemount Hotel's Main Stage on Thursday the 16th of November to celebrate Shannon's final WAAPA performance!
Shannon White is a Perth based vocalist with a strong and soulful RnB sound. Influenced by artists like Tori Kelly, Christina Aguilera & Eryn Allen Kane. Shannon has spent the last 5 years studying and honing her craft at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). This performance will showcase Shannon's vocal ability and will include songs from artists that she loves most as well as some originals and creative arrangements.
